Volunteer on this 8-day program and work side-by-side with researchers to collect data on Belize’s outstanding coral reef ecosystems. The goal of the program is to collect ecological data on the patch reefs, seagrass beds, and mangroves within the proposed St. George’s Caye Underwater Archaeology Reserve.Participants will stay at the ECOMAR research station and field school on St. George’s Caye and make daily monitoring excursions with researchers. Educational evening presentations will inform you about local research and conservation efforts. One our final day we will visit nearby Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
